Description
This is a nice wine taster with a few problems. It has two Minerva second standard marks, one on the rim and one on the handle. The maker’s mark might have been deliberately obliterated, perhaps done by whoever added the other small mark that looks a right facing woman’s head and looks a little bit like a Russian mark. The real problem is an old hard solder repair on the inside of the rim. The taster also has a few small dents really lost in the decoration. The original owner’s name is engraved “Tissidre G” on the side. Tissidre is a rather rare French name.
So if you want a wine taster, good weight, decent condition except for the repair, at a price which I hope is the best on the market, this is the one for you.
4 ¼” handle to opposite side, 3 ¼” wide, 1 1/8” tall,
94 grams or 3.02 troy ounces.
It has an old repair with silver solder on the side, see the photos.
