    Description

    Offered here for your consideration is a fine antique Austrian solid silver mug or handled cup.
    It has an ornate handle topped with butterfly or moth, etched decoration to the body and a stepped foot.
    Marked for the Vienna silversmith Josef Szombathy and an Austrian assay mark. (The assay mark is partly obliterated, so we don't know the fineness.)
    Simply a terrific mug!

    It is in overall, good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
    Condition Details:
    There appears to the be a monogram removal to the central cartouche.
    There is some over-polishing to the engraved decoration, some light creases, bends, and dings throughout, some fine & light surface scratches, and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
